The first entry for Andrew & George Taylor in the Derby Electoral Registers is dated 1 October 1881.  This lists premises in London street which are un-numbered, although situated between numbers 55 and 59.  The electoral register entry for the following year (31 Oct 1882) shows the address 57 London street, as do the registers for 1883 to 1887 (October)

Walter Clayton In late 1873, perhaps after the death of his mother Ann Clayton at the end of June that year, Walter embarked on a new venture in Leicester. He entered into a partnership with his nephew Joseph Byron Clayton operating the Magnet Studio in Leicester, situated at number 4 London Road.
