RPPC photo postcard winter scene of two fur buyers with their dog team on a frozen lake ~50 miles from Sudbury in Northern Ontario.

Written on negative “Fur Buyers, North of Sudbury – Ont.”

French text on back:

Cousin,
The card represents very well an Ontarian scene in northern forests. These trappers travel this way not because there are no horses but because dogs are faster on the snow. Notice the toboggan the snowshoes and further on the mountains. This scene was taken about fifty miles from Sudbury.

At top "Le Rouzic Vannes". Vannes is a town in France. There was an archeologist living in Vannes by that name.

Based on ‘AZO’ photographic paper used, dates from 1924-1949

Crease LR corner, some cracking bottom LR edge.
