The Canada Starch Company, also known as CASCO, has a rich industrial legacy dating back to the 19th century. It produced a wide range of starch-based products, including:

    • Laundry starch
    • Industrial starches for paper, textiles, and adhesives
    • Food ingredients like corn syrup solids, dextrose, and maltodextrin

·        It was also the first Canadian producer of high-fructose corn syrup . Its original plant in Cardinal, Ontario, remains one of the oldest continuously operating industrial sites in Canada.
