The jerseys are collarless, button‑front, with simple block letters (“G.F.E.”). This style appears:

After ~1895, when collarless flannel jerseys became common.
Before ~1912, when more standardized fonts, piping, and numbered uniforms spread.

The caps are soft, unstructured, and mismatched — typical of turn‑of‑the‑century amateur clubs, not later organized leagues.

The gloves in the photo are early fielders’ gloves, not modern mitts:
