Nice RPPC photo postcard of a rural  baseball game in progress, Verdon southeastern Nebraska. Parked along edges are cars and horse-drawn carriages. In 1910 the population was 406 people.

Baseball field was opened in 1904, 5 1/2 acres were leased across the Burlington tracks.

Like many such communities, baseball games were central to local entertainment and social life.
