Lynden is small community west of Hamilton Ontario.
Two letters sent to Mr. Noon, Nogales Arizona, on dated April 8th 1918, second April 20th. Samuel F. Noon was a Clerk for the District Court in Nogales.
First letter is business letter, unclear on content, mention of action by Mexicans. Second letter has some more clarity on matter “…report you have to give as to the work that has been done at the mine..”, “...$221.92 and $105.00 for mine taxes and the caretaker…”
“ ..Regarding the entrance of the United States into the war. We are glad to they have at last concluded to join, It is a critical time for all concerned just now but the last two weeks the Allies seem to be making very extensive headway and pushing he enemy towards the border of France, We are hoping the enemy may soon be overcome and the war closed, even if the United States does not have much opportunity of helping extensively..”
