The Pure Food and Drug Act of 1906 prohibited the sale of misbranded or adulterated food and drugs in interstate commerce and laid a foundation for the nation’s first consumer protection agency, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

F. Hollander and Company were importers and dealers in foreign and domestic wines and liquors. The company was founded in 1871 by Frederick Hollander, who had previously been a shoe manufacturer. The company seems to have gone out of business around 1915.
