Ida Grove Iowa is about 90 miles NW of Des Moines. In 1908 its population was just under 2,000.

Based on AZO photographic paper used, dates to 1904-1918.

Written on back (part in German) : “(hope have received his cards, this one is good)…Shows Des Moines students watching a “Football Game” Sincerely, Harry Van Dyke   March 6th”.

Stamped on back ‘1504 E. Walnut St. Des Moines, Iowa. U.S.A.’

Sent to Mr. Vandewand, Rueil, Seine et Oise, France. Receiving postmark on back. No stamp used, has handstamp ‘STAMP OVER’ where stamp would be.
