Samuel Latimer died August 6th, 1901. His father James came from the County of Tyrone, Ireland. Many times Mr. Latimer recalled the hardships and experiences of the early settlers. They were faithful church families. Sam Latimer bought 100 acres of bush on the 13th concession from Sir John A. MacDonald [First prime minster of Canada]. In those days the farms usually consisted of 50 acres to a family.

George W. Peacock and his wife Jane Robinson ( -1869). In 1840 they moved to NH Lot 14, Concession 8. They married on December 26, 1835. Mr. Peacock was an Innisfil Tax Collector. His father retired British army officer, had fought against Napoleon at the Battle of Waterloo.

Innisfil is a town in Ontario, Canada, located on the western shore of Lake Simcoe in Simcoe County, immediately south of Barrie and 80 kilometres north of Toronto. The first settlers arrive in 1820

The year 1850 marked the end of the old commissioners' rule. The population had increased to 1,807, nearly tripling in under a decade. The first municipal council was established, replacing the government of appointed commissioners. The Corporation of the Township of Innisfil was born.
