Outdoor photo postcard of 8 baseball players + 1 other (manager?).  Appears to be 2, possibly 3 different teams: 5 have 'NPAC' on the front of their uniform. 2 with ‘-OVER-‘, and one in light colored uniform.

CYKO’ photographic paper dates it to 1904-1920s

Some staining on back.

Dating the Photograph (likely 1908–1916)

1. Uniform Lettering (“NPAC” and “OVER”)

  • Block-letter chest monograms of this style appear after 1905 and are widespread by 1908–1915.
  • The mixed uniforms (some “NPAC,” some “OVER”) suggest either:
    • A combined team,
    • A challenge match, or
    • A league where players reused older jerseys.

This mixing is common in pre‑WWI amateur leagues.

2. Equipment

  • The catcher’s mask and gloves are still pre‑webbing, consistent with 1905–1915.
  • Bats remain thick-handled with no pronounced knob — again pre‑1920.

3. Clothing of the Non‑Players

  • The man in the light suit and hat is wearing a 1910s style summer suit.
  • The man in the white shirt and trousers has a 1910–1917 silhouette.
