Danville is a home rule-class city and the county seat of Boyle County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 5,420 in 1910. Danville is the principal city of the Danville Micropolitan Statistical Area, which includes all of the Boyle and Lincoln counties.

….By 1904, the name had changed to the Danville Lumber and Manufacturing Company

The creeks on the property were used as a source of water for the boiler system; and were later used to provide water to the company's sprinkler system. The tracks of the Southern Railroad entered the property, allowing the firm to provide receiving and shipping operations.
