Beautiful of photo of a railway being built in Western Canada. The tracks have been laid and workers are now working inside a tunnel as progress of construction has reached the base of large mountains. Beside the track, lumber, mounds of earth and worker’s buildings. In the background can see  mountain range with some snow on the side. Nice use of sunlight and shade.

Also on back is a faint purple square stamp with ‘CANADIAN PACIFIC RAILWAY NO. 448’.

No location, I would assume Alberta or possibly British Columbia. Can't date when this photo was developed.
