Attractive photo postcard form 1910 of a steam locomotive at a water/wood stop. Beside track large water tank and pile of wood beside track.  Engineer in cab, helper on cow catcher and other man standing by wood. 

Steam locomotives would stop every 50-100 miles for water and wood.

In 1910, the Kentucky Central Railroad was one of the primary railways passing through Paris, Kentucky.

D.N. House was a well-known local photographer in Dayton Kentucky, who split his time between Dayton and Maysville. His specialty was “factories, churches, residences, live stock, lodge banquets, large assemblies, conventions..”
