1918 photo postcard British female Mk IV tank J12 “Jericho”

$70.00 CAD

| /

The female Mk IV tank J12 “Jericho” was part of 10 Battalion, “A” Company.

On  23-Mar-18, while traveling to Bapaume (Pas de Calais) France on a railway line, it suffered a broken differential at Favreuil, then received a direct hit and abandoned.   https://sites.google.com/site/landships

The "Female" tank was a variation of the British heavy tank deployed during the First World War. It carried multiple machine guns instead of the mix of machine guns and cannons mounted on the "male" tank.

Postcard size photo, but with a blank back,

Some smudges on back.
