Nice document from the British Raj period in India. Letter from the Mess secretary Captain Williams of the Royal Artillery making a payment and placing an order for Brandy for the Mess in Bangalore, India. Order placed with wine merchant in Bordeaux France.

Nice embossed blue letterhead: RA monogram, crown and ‘UBIQUE' ('Everywhere').

I believe this is signed by Richard Francis Williams, who was made captain on 1st February 1877, and Major on 31st August 1882.

Horizontal folds. Crease UR/LR corners. Some rust spots at centre.
