Victoria Booth Demarest, a well‑known early 20th‑century evangelist, author, and performer. She was the granddaughter of General William Booth, founder of the Salvation Army. Her programs blended religious drama, sermon‑stories, music, and choral performance, which made her quite famous on the North American evangelical circuit.
