Advertisement for Solar Tip Shoes ‘The Best Sole Leather Tip Made Patented 1877’. Nice colorful image of the Solar Tip Brigade, group of school kids parading, all wearing black leather shoes, and holding sticks with a black leather boot on the end!

‘The Daisy Shoe’

Made only by John Mundell & Co. Philad.a

Nice space where the seller of the shoe wrote his name "Wagner Gerichs(?)".

On back, hard pitch to make sure to only buy products with the “Solar Tip” trade mark:”..people can be found…who will deliberately say “here is a Solar Tip Shoe” when they know it is ABSOLUTELY FALSE…Shoes soon go to the shoemakers for repairs, or THE DIRT-PILE – generally the latter…” At bottom, wholesalers name Selz, Schwab & Co., Chicago.
