Printed holiday greeting card  for 1962-63 from widowed Lady Flora McCrea Eaton, matriarch of the Eaton family.  Sent from their estate north of Toronto.

This is not a mass‑produced Eaton’s corporate Christmas card. It is a personalized seasonal message, signed in green ink, with a reflective essay‑style text typical of her later-life correspondence.

Eaton Hall, King City, Ontario

To my Eaton family and friends;

Having seen snowflakes in the Northwest Territories in late August....back in Ontario...green lawns, brilliant flowers....But still Christmas comes nearer by the day.

...the birthday of Jesus Christ gives us the unfailing and only Hope for the World.....

Flora McCrea Eaton

Printed on thick stock.

14 x 19 ½ cm

Flora, Lady Eaton (born Sarah Evelyn Florence McCrea; 1879 –1970) was a Canadian socialite, philanthropist and nurse. As the wife of Sir John Craig Eaton, who inherited the Eaton's department store business, she was a member and later matriarch of the prominent Eaton family.

Interested in the occult, Lady Eaton had a séance room built in the turret of Eaton Hall.
