A homegrown company and its many products spanned a century of the historic city's development and the growth of numismatics.
In its heyday, Heeren Brothers & Company of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, designed and produced thousands of tokens, medals, badges and decorations. The company is no longer in operation, but its legacy lives on in numismatic artifacts. Founded in 1867, the family-owned firm, known for its high-quality work, began modestly, but rose to national prominence.
