Loaded with advertising: T. Eaton, Palmer’s beauty salons, Silbro Textile, Kerhulu & Odiau Hotel and its Au Matou Botté Cabaret (which closed @1932), Murray’s restaurants, Seagram’s, Old Parr whiskey, Kit Kat Caberet, etc.

The Kit Kat Cabaret was one of the few places where African-American musicians could perform.

This was also the time of Prohibition in the US, so a visitor could partake of drinks without worry.
