Scarce vintage postcard of small railway and lumber town located in Northern Ontario, northwest of Sudbury.
In 1885 the Canadian Pacific Railway was built through the area. The CPR chose this as a division point, and the town was founded.

On back, Jim Balfour is writing to his sister 'H' (?) in Lennoxville Quebec, to tell her he arrived on the 11th and is leaving for Schreiber next day. Postmarked ‘LENNOXVILLE FEB – 08 QUE’ on 1 cent King Edward stamp.

Genealogical records indicate a Balfour Family in Lennoxville, with a Henrietta (1871-1957) and a Robert James Balfour (1857-1945).
